i have an alternative festival, but still about the zulu

well having done enough research about the Zulu nation in south Africa, i learn;t that they also have a reed dance festival, you really want to know how lucky kings there are,, this is how it commences,
Thousands of Zulu virgins meet at the Enyokeni Zulu Royal Palace in September every year to celebrate the Reed Dance Festival (umkhosi woMhlanga). The Reed dance is a celebration that promotes purity among virgin girls and respect for young women. The festival is one of the most honorably celebrated annual festivals on the Zulu calender . During the Reed dance the virgin girls collect the reeds from the river and bring them to the palace for the royal king for him to inspect. It was during this festival that the Zulu King chose his youngest wife from the many young, fresh and virgin girls...AWESOME !! ISN'T IT??? wish i was a king there!!!

my festival.

i am going to do a festival on the celebrations of the Zulu in south Africa. they always recognize the new moon and it is called the festival of the moon, they dance and rejoice the appearance of the new moon which actually intrigues me. i read about south African history when i was studying the history of south Africa in my O'level,
IT IS AMAZING!! YOU SHOULD SEE IT,,,

finally

i added a small light streak which i gave a light glow just to be sure it made sense, i just made the light streak form the word zulu, to emphasize more on the topic of the composition,, that was just an amazing try out, but i am going to do the zulu festival of the moon but way too differently so am sure that is something i can live with.. very quick improvement am realizing now.. hope for the best though!!

the title

well after i had my images and background well blended together, by well blended i mean to the best of my ability which might be a lot less for some of you, i added a title to my composition, made it red in color to maintain it's visibility and blend mode. by now am i was excited to be getting even here by now i had a lot of layers which almost became hard to manage but i managed them anyway..

the background

very amazing thing i observed here when i inserted the background, it's just an image i downloaded from stock exchange images, an image of a dead planet, a burning image pf the earth, i put it in anew layer and put it down so it can be in the back ground, i tried to blend them with adjustment controls of brightness and contrast,,

more than one layer

i then multiplied the image into more than one by simply duplicating it and resizing it, it helped me create the illusion of perspective and more people celebrating..

WORKING WITH LAYERS

hi you are seeing the work of a guy who just started using photoshop the day he got this assignment. any way he just learn't how to work with layers and that was amazing, in screen one i just picked an image from google images about the zulu dance. i cut out the background using the quick selection tool and it now appears that plain on a white background
